PASTORAL COUNSELING PRACTICUM:
PASTORAL CLINICAL APPRENTICESHIP
& SUPERVISION (3 units)
Teodulo Gonzales, SJ
W 8:00 – 9:50 am

Beginning counselors need to feel confidence in the early stages of their counseling practice. They need to hear from their mentors and supervisors what they are doing well and what they can improve on as they listen to their counselees. It is for this reason that Apprenticeship II is made available. The course builds on the initial theories and skills in counseling and family ministry modules and lessons gained from the CEFAM Diploma Program and Apprenticeship I (First Semester). Apprentices gain more confidence from case presentations and feedback, understanding principles of counseling from the founders in the field and given opportunities practice new skills.
