A POST-MODERN MARIOLOGY

This course explores the Marian dogmas of the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption in post-modern terms. It discusses the historical context and articulation of these dogmas and then relates them to a holistic understanding of the body and a non-patriarchal view of gender. Through this path, it seeks to propose a Mariology that is faithful to Church teaching and is at the same time, theologically and spiritually enriching for today’s Catholics.
